Delete your STEP! account

Delete from inside the app (instant)

1. Open STEP! and sign in if you are not already.
2. Go to Menu → Profile.
3. Tap Delete my account and confirm.

Your account is removed immediately. The same steps work in the iOS app, the Android app and the web version.

Delete by email

If you can no longer open the app, email privacy@stepforward.games from the address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my account”. We will confirm your identity and delete the account within 30 days.

What is deleted

• Your sign-in account (email / Google link).
• Your profile: display name, avatar and language.
• Your saved player list and recently-seen question history.
• Your round history.
• AI usage log entries and analytics events linked to your account.

What is not affected

• Recordings — they are stored only on your device, never on our servers. Delete them from the clip library in the app, or by uninstalling / clearing site data.
• App Store / Google Play purchases — these belong to your Apple or Google account. Deleting your STEP! account does not refund or cancel them; reinstall the app and tap Restore purchases to get the full game back. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google.
• Anonymous analytics not linked to an account, which cannot be traced back to you.

Retention after deletion

Account data is removed at once. Encrypted infrastructure backups roll over within 30 days. Server logs containing only technical request information expire on their own schedule and are not used to identify you.
